About Us

Who we are

Established in 1977, the Federation of Accrediting Agencies of the Philippines (FAAP) is the national umbrella organization for private accrediting agencies in the country. It brings together three leading accreditation bodies: the Philippine Accrediting Association of Schools, Colleges and Universities (PAASCU), the Philippine Association of Colleges and Universities Commission on Accreditation (PACUCOA), and the Association of Christian Schools, Colleges and Universities – Accrediting Agency, Inc. (ACSCU-AAI).

FAAP is officially recognized by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) and the Department of Education (DepEd) to certify the accreditation levels granted by its member agencies. These certifications help qualified institutions gain progressive deregulation, financial aid access, and other academic and operational benefits.

As a quality assurance body, FAAP plays a crucial role in promoting academic excellence and continuous institutional improvement across the Philippine educational landscape.

Our Mission

To strengthen and promote a culture of quality and accountability in Philippine education by certifying and coordinating the work of recognized accrediting agencies.

Our Vision

A strong and credible accreditation system that empowers Philippine schools, colleges, and universities to achieve global standards of academic excellence and institutional integrity.
